Boon, Schoonhoven, 1904 Engeland van Ewijck from Schoonhoven (E50)Silver asparagus server made by the renowned silversmith Jan Boon from Schoonhoven, who was active between 1893 and 1925. This type of large serving utensil from the early 20th century is a beautiful example of artisanal silver from the Dutch Silver City Schoonhoven. The hallmark was used between 1858 and 1924. The scoop is specially designed for elegantly serving hot asparagus, with the cooking liquid draining directly through the openwork (pierced)
