Saton, Schoonhoven, ca. 1870 Titel:Default Title Bead diameter: 7 mmNecklace with 4 strands of jet beads with a diameter of approx. 5 mm on a 3 part silver clasp with an onyx. Made by the silversmith J. S. Saton from Schoonhoven. He was active from 1861 to 1888. The silver clasp is set with a large Onyx with a small silver ornament on top. The clasp is hallmarked with the 'sword' mark for at least 2nd grade silver, also marked with master's mark J.*S. The necklace has been restrung, so it is perfectly wearable.
