Zilveren tasbeugel, J.J. Boltjes, Leeuwarden, ca. 1770 Kollum who worked from 1837 to18th century silver purse made by Jacob Jans Boltjes (Voet 501) from Leeuwarden. This silversmith worked from 1760 to 1783. The silver clasp features a passionate biblical scene depicting shepherds visiting the baby Jesus. On the right is a figure with a cow, and on the left is a figure holding a basket. The evangelist Luke (depicted with an ox) is depicted on the clasp's knob. The smooth back is engraved with the maker's mark JB and the initials JWV.
