The Paris Madrid Race of May 1903 was organized by the Automobile Club de France and by the Spanish Automobile Club, also known as the Automvil Club Espaol; and was an early experiment in auto racing. Over 300 drivers enrolled for the Paris Madrid Race. The race was to span over 1307 kilometers, in three legs: Versailles Bordeaux ,
