The boarding school, located at 18 Rue Boileau, Auteuil, was under the direction of Madame Fressard during the time Bernhardt attended. Photography courtesy of C. Robert of Paris. Bernhardt also lived with a hired nurse, after her aunt relinquished guardianship.
