It is glazed in a non toxic white glaze to show the beautiful speckles of the clay. Depending on the batch of clay used & placement in the kiln, the clay colour can be slightly lighter or darker from cup to cup. This cup is microwave & dishwasher safe, yet hand washing is recommended.
