1929 Photogravure Angkor Thom Cambodia Leper King Terrace Hindu God Yama Death F3A " La Foret de Fontainebleau"This is an original 1929 photogravure of Angkor Thom in Cambodia (Kampuchea) the capital city of the Khmer Empire. "Angkor Thom" translates to "Great City". The wall shown is part of the Terrace of the Leper King. The Leper King, or the Hindu god Yama, is named so because the moss and plants growing out of the sculpture resembled someone with the disease. However; there are several different stories concerning the identity of the sculpture. Pictured
